New Year, New You

Every year we hear the phrase 'New Year, new me'. Well I think that it's a bit of a cop out.

Why there is so much emphasis on casting off the old you and transforming like a dirty catterpillar into a beautiful butterfly is obvious. But I rather like parts of the old me.

Sure there are bits that need some major fine tuning and other parts that should be scrapped all together but I resolve that, this year I will not be rash and throw me away like you would a fashion fad item in a spur of the moment 'WHAT was I THINKING?!?'

And hopefully a brighter, better me will emerge...
